3DVIA Virtools Unicode text display
Displaying Unicode text has always been a Virtools customers' need.Many customers want to display dynamic text in their native language (chinese, arabic, japanese, hebrew,...) without the hassle of creating several static bitmaps.
The existing "Unicode text display" building block does not allow displaying Unicode text like the "2D Text" or "3D Text" building blocks.
That's why we have created an additional "Unicode text display" plugin.
The building blocks we have created allows displaying Unicode text in a very flexible way.
Features of the new plugin:
- 5 new Unicode specific building blocks:
- Unicode 2D Text: Displays a unicode text in a 2D Frame.
- Unicode 3D Text: Displays a unicode text on a 3D Frame.
- Create System Font: Creates a unicode font from a system font name.
- Load Unicode Labels File: Loads a 2 columns (Label ID and Unicode string) tab separated values unicode file into a data array.
- Get Unicode String From ID: Gets a unicode String located in an array based on its Label ID.
- Unicode strings are now editable in the Virtools UI
- New building blocks .chm documentation accessible from the Virtools UI (double clicking on building block name in the building block list)
- Redistribuable runtime dll to be integrated in your stand alone player (static library available on request)
- Virtools 5.0 and 4.1 compatible
